As a freelance web designer with over 20 years’ experience I charge £35 per hour. I usually split up costs in a quote for website design into: design, development, project management and SEO. The time to design and build a website varies from one site to the next, depending on how many pages are required, what extra functionality is required and whether you want to take a more in-depth look at SEO and spend time on in-depth keyword research.
To give an idea of costs – design and development of a simple multi-page Wordpress website are typically around £2000 – £2500. It can be more if you need a lot of different pages set up. I also offer simpler one or two page HTML websites which are cheaper to design and build for small local businesses. These tend to come in at between £600 – 750. For more in-depth SEO research costs are roughly £600 – 750 depending what you require. Feel free to give me a call and we can discuss options and decide what would work best for your business. I can then provide a more accurate quote for the work once we have worked out the best way to progress.
